Don’t let the other team find out which hand has the quarter

Practice safe touch in all activities:

Setup:

Place a long white table with an even number of chairs on either side of the table. No chairs at the end. Make sure there is enough space, so you may have to grab extra tables and chairs depending on the number of participants.
Split the group into an even number of groups like 2, 4, 6.
Each group will sit across from each other.

Play:

One group will be given a quarter that they will pass underneath the table between each other for 1 minute
The other group will pick a spoke person who will be speaking for the group.
The group without the quarter cannot have their arms or hands on the table
When one minute has passed the spoke person will say “Up Jenkins” the other team will all put their elbows on the table with their hands clenched into fists, one person on this team has the quarter, but nobody knows who.
After the team with the quarter has all their elbows on the table the spoke person will say “Down Jekins”. The team will all at once slap their hands on the table; trying to hide the sound of the quarter.
Now the opposite team must guess where the quarter is and remove ever hand but the hand with the quarter
Only the spoke person may tell people to remove their hands
When the quarter is found early the game is reset and the team who had the quarter keeps the quarter and gets one point
If the quarter is under the last hand left the other team receives possession of the quarter but no points. Now its this team’s turn to trick the other team.

Rules:

No screaming
You cannot touch any part of the players that are hiding the coin. No touching or messing with the table to figure out the coin’s location
All rings, bracelets, and watches must be taken off. Wedding rings may be left on.
If the coin is dropped while passing it goes to the other team
