Safe Touch

Practice safe touch in all activities:

  • Ask permission

  • Try to only hold hands

  • When holding out a hand please make hands spoons not forks

  • Do not touch private areas like chest, groin, or butt.

  • Be respectful to each other

Game Instructions

Game Instructions:

  • Facilitator supervises throughout activity

  • Facilitators should spot, when necessary, by holding out their hands in a spoon shape ready to catch or lend a hand to participants. Prioritize neck and head safety.

  • No running or jumping or playing on low rope activities unless instructed otherwise.

  • If anyone slips off in any game mode, the group or the individual must restart. Facilitators may change or adjust the difficulty depending on each group.

  • You, as the instructor, have special “Water floating shoes” and will walk around helping and spotting when needed.

  1. The entire group must get from one side of the “river” to the other, crossing only the exposed “rocks”.

  2. Once they cross the bank of the river “outlined by rocks”, they can only touch the cement blocks and the two boards provided.

  3. If a person or a board touches the “river”, there may be consequences. * The group must restart if a board lays on the ground for more than 30 seconds (Optional) * The whole group or just the individual who touched the “river” with their foot must go back to the beginning.

  4. The task is accomplished when the entire group and the two boards have made it across the far riverbank.
